Compressive strength of cement stabilizations containing recycled and waste materials

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study analyses the possibilities of using up to 30% reclaimed asphalt pavement as a substitute material for natural aggregate, along with fly ash replacing 20% or 40% Portland cement in stabilizations 4% and 6% binder. The Proctor test was used determine maximum dry density optimal moisture content cement-based stabilizations. compressive strength tested after 7, 28, 90 days. Parameters influencing 28-day were evaluated by full factorial design classification classes. results obtained justify utilisation waste recycled materials structures.

Influence of Fineness of Recycled Glass Waste and Slag on Compressive Strength of Sulphate Resisting Cement Mortars

Method: At first, two optimized fineness levels were attained for both cement substituting materials used in this study (GGW as glass fine ˂ 38μm (GF), glass superfine ˂ 25μm (GSF) and EAFS as slag fine ˂ 75μm (SF), slag superfine ˂ 32μm (SSF)). In addition to control mortar (CM), four types of binary mortar mixtures were cast by substituting cement 5-20% with GGW (GF and GSF) and 10-30% with E...

Compressive strength of Portland cement pastes and mortars containing Cu-Zn nano-ferrite

This study is concerned with the synthesizing of Cu-Zn nano-ferrite particles in the laboratory applying simple techniques. The morphology of the synthesized nano-particles was analyzed using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and the minerals were identified using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The nano material was used to replace 1- 4 percent by weight of Portland cement in cement pastes and ...

Compressive Strength and Capillary Water Absorption of Concrete Containing Recycled Aggregate

This paper presents results of compressive strength, capillary water absorption, and density tests conducted on concrete containing recycled aggregate (RCA) which is obtained from structural waste generated by the construction industry in Turkey. In the experiments, 0%, 15%, 30%, 45% and 60% of the normal (natural) coarse aggregate was replaced by the recycled aggregate. Maximum aggregate parti...
